As a disabled war veteran, Harvey’s vision evolved to include assisting other disabled veterans. In 2022, the Loving Resource Center took a significant step forward, purchasing property in the targeted neighborhood with plans to build a transitional housing facility and a training resource center.
Please consider donating to the Loving Resource Center and help us turn this vision into reality.
Harvey Augustine III, a 1985 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, dedicated 22 years to distinguished military service, participating in five campaigns and serving as a Joint Task Force Test Analyst on the staff of the U.S. Under-Secretary of Defense. Retiring as a Major and receiving the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Harvey transitioned into a second career in education, where he spent 21 years in roles ranging from Adjunct Instructor to District Elementary Math Coordinator. His commitment to excellence earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Region 4 of Texas Teacher of the Year and the honor of being a U.S. Olympic Torchbearer in 2002.
Throughout his career, Harvey was driven by a deep desire to give back to those less fortunate. In 2011, he turned this passion into action by founding the Loving Resource Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping battered women who have been victimized by unfavorable circumstances. Starting with a program called “Feed the Community,” which provided meals and essential services in an underserved neighborhood, the organization quickly expanded its offerings to include health screenings, social services, social skills training, and basic computer skills instruction.
Today, we invite you to join us in supporting this vital mission. Your generous donations will help us create a safe haven for those in need, providing them with the resources and support to rebuild their lives. Together, we can honor Harvey Augustine III’s legacy of service and compassion by making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
